GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS

 

  1. Students are admitted upon presentation of an identification (ID) card.
  2. Eating, smoking, sleeping, doing industrial work, idle conversation, and other non-research-related activities are strictly prohibited.
  3. Bags and big envelopes shall be placed at the depository.
  4. The library must be kept clean and orderly.  Trash materials should be disposed of properly.
  5. Library materials must be handled properly.  There must be avoidance of marking, defacing, tearing, and inserting bulky objects.
  6. Chairs must be pushed back against the table after use and should not be carried from one place to another.
  7. General Reference materials, such as encyclopedias, dictionaries, almanacs, atlases, and yearbooks, including theses and dissertations, are for library use only.
  8. Books should be placed at the center of the table after using them (for statistics purposes).
  9. Lost books must be immediately reported to the university/campus librarian to avoid penalties (replacement of the same title, author, and updated edition)
  10. Borrowing books and other resources for photocopying outside the library premises is limited only to one hour.
  11. Books borrowed for classroom use must be returned immediately after the class.
  12. Books in the library can be borrowed for overnight use and should be returned the following morning. Community service for the undergrad and donation of any parallel library material or suspension from borrowing for an equivalent period for Graduate Studies.
  13. Newspapers and magazines should be read within the library area only.
  14. School and/or Library ID cards or certificate of registration (COR) must be presented when doing transactions in the library, such as book borrowing and using the computers for online research.
  15. Cutting newspaper pages and magazine articles and stealing library property and other violations of library rules and regulations are punishable, such as, by losing library privilege, or according to pertinent CTU policies.
