Borrowing of Library Materials
Procedures in Borrowing
- Book Collection
Face-to-Face:
- Check the OPAC library system for the information and status of the book or Ask assistance from the Reference in-charge.
- Look for the book on the shelves
- Present the book with the Student ID to the circulation in-charge
- Scan the barcode found on the back cover of the book
- Fill up the book card found at the back of the book
- The Library Staff will process the book to be borrowed
- Check the Due Date Slip found on the last flyleaf of the book, before going out of the library
- The Book Cards and School ID are retained and filed alphabetically by title.
Online:
- Contact the Library Staff through email or chat messenger to inquire if the book is available.
- If the book is available, the Reference in-charge will respond through a message
- Wait for confirmation from the Reference in-charge for the request to be processed.
- Two ways to get the book or information needed:
- Over-the-Counter, follow the procedure of the face-to-face transaction;
- Information/Document Deliver, follow the third (3rd) to fifth (5th) step procedure of the Document Delivery Service
- Periodical Collection
- Check the OPAC library system for the articles needed and the status of the periodical
- Look for the periodicals on the shelves
- Present the periodicals with the School ID to the Circulation in-charge
- Log the periodicals to the Borrower’s Log Book
- The School ID is retained and filed alphabetically by name of the clients
Returning of Library Materials
Procedures in Returning
- Book
Over the counter
1. Present the Book to the Circulation in-charge
2. Then the Circulation in-charge process of the
returned books
3. After processing, you will put the book in the Book
Drop Box
4. Claim School ID to the in charge
Courier:
- Kindly send the receipt through library email or chat via messenger.
- Periodical
1. Present the periodicals to the Circulation in-charge
2. Sign the Borrower’s Log Book
3. Claim School ID to the in charge
